Array Probes
Eddy current array probes for inspection of VVER steam generators, for both collector and tubing material offer a significant improvement of inspection performance and increased sensitivity as well as a reduction in inspection time.
Array probes give much more of information on the tube’s condition, and there is no need to wait for rotating probe coil data.
Improvement is especially seen for the inspection of VVER collector material where the regular inspection procedure uses a rotating probe, so inspection time can be reduced by up to 100 times, which is an enormous improvement.
The two available designs include:
- ACV array probe with cross - wound coils
- APV array probe with pancake coils.
